On March 22, Warsaw (Republic of Poland) hosted the final day of the visit of University Rector Olena Karaman, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Yaroslava Yurkiv, teacher of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism Valeria Vasyk as part of the Program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation “Study Tours to Poland “. (17-23.03.2024).

This day turned out to be very busy: participation in a conference at the University of Special Education, a meeting with Ukrainian students, a visit to the University of Warsaw, a center for new technologies, a school of postgraduate education, an interview on Polish Radio for Ukraine, summing up the results, handing out certificates, planning the areas of cooperation of the displaced HEIs with the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

In particular, a very interesting training on the topic “Special eco-workshop” was held, and there were also many interesting discussions between the participants at the Maria Grzegozhevska Academy of Special Pedagogy.

For more information: The Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Pedagogy is the oldest Polish Pedagogical University, which for 101 years has been implementing the academic ideas of searching for truth, accumulating and transmitting knowledge and culture, as well as a call to concrete actions and social service. Its mission stems from the humanistic pedagogy of Maria Grzegozhevska, who saw in every person, regardless of their state of health, level of physical training, social origin, the right to be a citizen. From the time of foundation by by Maria Grzegozhevska in 1922 until now the Academy has always remained a university with an unusual atmosphere of openness, dialogue, and thanks to the combination of ideas and theory with practice – dedicated and active kindness.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University sincerely thanks the Republic of Poland, Polish scientists, educators, citizens, partners for the strong support of the Ukrainian people and HEIs in defending freedom, independence and the European vector of development!

In the conditions of the Russian war against Ukraine, this cooperation has become more dynamic, its directions, content, and forms have expanded and enriched. Together we are invincible!

The visit was organized by the “Leaders of Change” Foundation and the Polish Rectors Foundation as part of the “Study Tours to Poland” program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. We remind you that the Project is aimed at supporting internally displaced Ukrainian universities and establishing cooperation and communication in the field of education and science.
