This important event “State and Prospects of the Administrative-Territorial System of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions”, which took place on December 20, 2023, became a key event for building communities and creating platforms for active participation of citizens in shaping the future of their region.The event is held within the framework of the cooperation of the NGO “Civic Initiative of Luhansk Region”, the NGO “Association for the Promotion of Self-Organization of the Population”, the NGO “Center for Political and Legal Reforms” and the NGO “Revival and Development Association”, with the support of the international foundation “Revival”.
During the event, various aspects of public involvement in the restoration of the region were discussed. Possibilities of creating public initiatives, interaction with authorities and development of partnerships between the community and business structures were considered. Projects aimed at improving infrastructure, social services and the development of the local economy became the subject of discussion.Involving the public of Eastern Ukraine in the processes of community restoration is a difficult but extremely important task. Education is a key tool for achieving this goal, and the discussion and collaboration that emerged at the event became the foundation for further positive changes in the lives of communities.
