The formation of critical thinking of a person in conditions of negative information and psychological influences became the topic of the third day of the training session.
The third day of the training session on improving teaching skills (for pedagogical (scientific and pedagogical) employees of educational institutions) within the EU Project “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of Luhansk Region on the Processes of Reconciliation and Peace-Buildingˮ was devoted to the consideration of the formation of critical thinking of the individual in conditions of negative information and psychological influences. The coach was Maria Pochinkova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Philological Disciplines.
The participants actively studied the theoretical foundations of critical thinking as one of the varieties of thinking, its use in the information society and the role of human values in critical thinking. The participants examined in detail the logical operations on concepts, statements and inferences.
During the day, the trainer explained to the audience the concepts of argumentation and posing questions; forms and methods of human manipulation; the difference between opinion, reasoned judgment and fact; visual argumentation; the role of critical thinking in the context of informatization of society.
The participants worked out their practical skills during the problem solving exercise, where they learned to make the right decisions and check the information for correctness, relevance and reliability.
The final of the third day of the training session was traditionally a questionnaire survey from the Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Kateryna Kotelenets, discussion and planning of the next day, as well as a delicious dinner.
