Foreign experience

The teachers of the Preschool and Elementary Education Department of the ER IPP are constantly improving their qualifications and are ready to gain innovative experience of activities both in Ukraine and abroad!

The Associate Professor of the Department Iryna Grechyshkina had the opportunity to work with children in preschool education institutions in France: “Just like in Ukrainian kindergartens, there are classes for the older group, but they are not separated. One day – one topic. For example, if children study the topic “Sea”, then they can first draw it, then play a sea game, learn a poem, read a fairy tale,” says Ms. Iryna. In the educational process, a lot of people play, dance, and work with LEGO technology.

It is impressive that preschool education institutions have a rather saturated educational environment: there are cinemas, puppet theaters, coffee shops, and game centers. And in the middle and older groups there is no daytime sleep. Children are taught French from an early age, even if it is not their native language for some children (for example, Iryna Anatoliivna worked in a kindergarten for English-speaking children). Therefore, the nation respects and nurtures its native language and traditions.

The general impression of the educational process in kindergartens is the priority of the child, the value of childhood, the implementation of the value-meaning paradigm in education – children are constantly given a choice, even when choosing dishes for breakfast.

Iryna Anatoliivna plans to share her experience with colleagues from the Department of Preschool and Elementary Education, as well as with students majoring in 012 “Preschool Education” within the seminar.
