“Actual Issues of Combating International Terrorism”

A guest lecture “Actual Issues of Combating International Terrorism” was held.

On November 14, 2023, a guest lecture “Actual Issues of Combating International Terrorism” was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The lecturer was candidate of legal sciences, deputy head of the Department for Combating Terrorism of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the Security Service of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksii Vasylovych Mishchenko.

The online event was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine Olena Karaman, directors, deans, deputies, teachers of structural subdivisions, employees and students.

A number of events, including this lecture, were held in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1/16675-23 dated 10.27.23 “On the implementation of the plan of measures for the implementation of the Concept of Combating Terrorism in Ukraine.”

In the presentation at the lecture, Oleksii Vasylovych explained the concept of “international terrorism”, presented the counter-terrorist structure of the UN, named international terrorist organizations on the territory of Ukraine, outlined the national system of combating terrorism, etc.

The lecture ended with an active discussion of the topic. Lecturers asked questions and wrote comments in the chat.

The Rector of the University, all participants of the meeting thanked Mr. Oleksii for the interesting informational material and the innovative approach of the online presentation. The lecturer was wished inexhaustible energy for research, success in his work, good health, well-being, God’s grace and to everyone – a speedy VICTORY!
