“Fighting Terrorism in Ukraine”

A representative of law enforcement agencies of Myrhorod held a lecture on the topic: “Fighting Terrorism in Ukraine.”

On November 16, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted an online meeting with a representative of law enforcement agencies of Myrhorod, organized in accordance with the letter of the Security Service of Ukraine dated October 19, 2023 and in accordance with paragraph 3 of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 5, 2021 “On approval of the plan of measures for the implementation Concepts of combating terrorism in Ukraine”.

The meeting was attended by leaders, teachers and students of institutes, faculties and colleges of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, located in the following cities: Poltava, Lubny and Myrhorod.
In response to the official request, the head of the sector of the juvenile province of the Myrhorod District Police Department in the Poltava region, police captain Yanina Serhiyivna Zahoda, joined the meeting and read a lecture on the topic: “Fighting Terrorism in Ukraine.”

Yanina Zahoda informed the listeners about the danger and scale of terrorist threats in Ukraine; entities that directly carry out the fight against terrorism within the limits of their competence. She also emphasized that citizens of Ukraine, on the basis of trust and cooperation, can inform the Security Service of Ukraine about any facts of the arrival and stay of suspicious persons in the region, intentions to carry out terrorist, subversive or intelligence-subversive activities.

At the end of the meeting, everyone had the opportunity to get answers to their questions.
