Report on Non-Formal Education

The Department of Romance & Germanic Philology is actively introducing non-formal education into the educational process with the subsequent recognition of learning outcomes.

The work programs themselves (syllabi) provide for crediting topics (according to the relevant competencies). Therefore, the department’s teachers encourage students to take various professional courses.

The concept of fruitful implementation of non-formal education in the first half of the year was discussed at the department’s September meeting (acting head Nailia Khairulina). During the month, the department’s academic staff formed the most up-to-date list of training courses on various international platforms with a free certificate.

It is pleasant to note that all students of the 1st-4th years of study have mastered various courses that have significantly deepened their knowledge in such disciplines as “Practical English,” “Practical German,” “Practical French,” “Practical Spanish,” “Fundamentals of Translation Studies,” “Genre Peculiarity of English Modern Novels.”

All students received certificates for the following courses: “Everyday English-1,2”, “English in the World Today,” “English Pronunciation in Use,” “Fundamentals of English Grammar,” “Intermediate German,” “Intermediate French,” “Intermediate Spanish,” “The Theory of Translation,” “The Overview of English Literature.”

The Department of Romance & Germanic Philology is proud of its applicants and wishes them further study success!
