Final meeting of the Steering Committee of the EU Project

The final meeting of the Steering Committee of the international technical assistance project was held.

On November 18-19, the final meeting of the Steering Committee of the international technical assistance project “Intensification of the Influence of Teachers of the Luhansk Region on the Process of Consolidation of Society in Ukraine” took place.

After the introductory speech, the program of the meeting and the principles of work within its framework were announced, namely: “Types of projects. The place of international technical assistance projects in the general classification of international projects”, “The main components of the structure of the international project taking into account the general classification of international projects”.

A practical exercise on the topic “Discussion in small groups “Signs of a quality international project” was conducted with those present, moderated by Iryna Myhovych, project coordinator, head of the International Relations Department of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.
When considering the material and technical assistance project “Intensification of the Influence of Teachers of the Luhansk Region on the Process of Consolidation of Society in Ukraine” – from problem to implementation, the main stages of implementation, problems and ways to overcome them, material, technical and financial components (including reporting), achievements and prospects were announced.

Speakers were:

  • Vitalii Kurylo, project manager, chairman of the Academic Council of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”;
  • Larysa Shevchenko, project accountant.

Olena Karaman, coordinator of the soft component of the project, Rector of LTSNU spoke about the intellectual and methodological component of the project: achievements and prospects.

The project monitoring manager Dmytro Uzhchenko reported on the logical-structural matrix as a visualization of the international project’s problem tree – the features of its construction and adjustment during the life cycle, namely from the matrix to the implementation plan and the project budget.

The project of material and technical assistance “Intensification of the Influence of Teachers of the Luhansk Region on the Process of Consolidation of Society in Ukraine” is a practical case of cooperation between state institutions of higher education of various types and public organizations.

Therefore, regarding the role of partner institutions (including the public sector) in the implementation of the international project”, the following people spoke:

  • Iryna Tsymbal, director of the Luhansk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education;
  • Iryna Myhovych, project coordinator, head of the NGO “Educational Initiatives Agency”;
  • Volodymyr Moroz, head of the “Alma Mater” charitable foundation.

The meeting ended with a summary of the day and a discussion of important issues regarding the meeting of the Steering Committee of the international technical assistance project.
