Master class on Easter eggs painting

The Design Department held a master class on Easter eggs painting in the Poltava Regional Universal Library named after I.P. Kotliarevskyi.

On March 7, Candidate of Architecture, Associate Professor of the Design Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts, Nazar Bozhinskyi, held a master class on Easter eggs painting at the Poltava Regional Universal Library named after I.P. Kotliarevskyi.

The purpose of the event was to develop the creative potential and popularize the Ukrainian-centric consciousness of the youth. The event was attended by the future applicants from the city of Poltava and the Poltava region, students, as well as everybody interested.

Pysanka (Easter egg) is one of the elements of the ritual tradition of Easter. Easter eggs become the decoration of every home, and if these Easter eggs are made with your own hands, then their value is multiplied.

Nazar Bozhynskyi told about the symbolic content, the history of Easter eggs, colors, ornaments, traditions and features of Poltava painting.

During the master class, visitors were invited to create their own Easter egg. For most, this event was the first attempt to create a symbol of Easter. In a friendly atmosphere and with great interest, all those present immersed themselves in the realm of painting elements of Easter eggs.

We also invite everyone to our next master classes: March 13 – master class “Graphic associative composition of fractal elements based on poems by T.G. Shevchenko” and on March 20 – a master class on Easter eggs painting. For pre-registration, please call 050 535 82 77.
