On April 14, Environment Day was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The meeting for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences was organized on the initiative of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology and the student scientific circle “Ecological Club”.
The meeting was moderated by Kateryna Berezenko, a senior lecturer of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology. During the online meeting, Iryna Kyrpychova, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology, head of the “Ecological Club”, spoke about the ecological consequences of military actions for the environment.
Also, members of the “Ecological Club” Darya Dell and Larisa Osypenko, 1st-year master’s students majoring in Ecology 101, presented a report on the impact of the Chernobyl disaster on the objects of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine.
We thank the organizers and participants of the meeting for the opportunity to discuss issues that concern millions of Ukrainians today.
