From February 10-12, a seminar on the project “Intensification of influence of teachers of Luhansk region on the processes of reconciliation and peace-building” within the project “EU Support to Displaced Higher Education Institutions in the East of Ukraine” took place in Kyiv.
Representatives of the university administration take part in the event: Vitalii Kurylo, chairman of the Academic Council, Dmytro Uzhchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Dmyto Kovalov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Work.
Recall that the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National Universityˮ received a grant from the European Union for the implementation of the project “Intensification of influence of teachers of Luhansk region on the processes of reconciliation and peace-building” as the main contractor and coordinator of the project, EU Support to Displaced Higher Education Institutions in the East of Ukraineˮ (EUR 582,841.75 supported by the European Union).
The importance of this project is due to the need to implement a number of educational and rehabilitation programs for the population of the region affected by the military conflict, as well as improving the material and technical base of the displaced from the temporarily occupied territory of the university.
The main purpose of the event is to discuss the organization of the project, its impact on the population of the region, the basic principles of its success and so on.
