A student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University received a scholarship from the Lubny City Council.
The awarding of scholarship holders took place on June 23 at the solemn annual “Gift” ceremony in the Lubny cinema “Kyivska Rus”.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Lubny City Council and representatives of the executive apparatus, representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, teaching staffs of comprehensive and extracurricular educational institutions, school graduates, their parents, educators, teachers, and university students.
Talented young men and women of the Lubny region received diplomas and monetary awards for personal and collective achievements in the field of science, culture, art and social activities. And it’s not just some diplomas, not just scholarships – it’s a lot of work, their intelligence, knowledge and the future development of our country, it’s recognition of talent, potential and gratitude for their hard work. This is a vivid example of supporting the creative potential of the gifted youth of the Lubny territorial community.
The awards were presented to the gifted young people by the mayor of Lubny, Oleksandr Hrytsaenko and the head of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, Svitlana Skyba.
One of these scholarship recipients was the student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Iryna Vitaliivna Sedelnikova, who received a scholarship of 5,000 hryvnias for her high level of academic achievements and success in implementing the acquired knowledge. Iryna Sedelnikova is a master’s student majoring in 231 “Social Work, Social Pedagogy and Practical Psychology”. We are sincerely proud of her.
The appointment of the scholarship of the Lubny City Council is aimed at realizing the right of every child to participate in the scientific, cultural and creative, sports life of society (Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child), the education of a citizen of Ukraine and a patriot of their hometown, the involvement of the younger generation in revealing their potential, formation of intelligence, spirituality as an effective means of socialization of children and adolescents.
We congratulate Iryna Sedelnikova on her high achievement and wish that the received scholarship inspires new successes and promotes the realization of her scientific potential!
