Psychological adaptation of freshmen

The university hosted an introductory meeting for first-year students with the head of the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation.

On November 11, the dean’s office of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business, together with advisors of the first-year students, organized a meeting of students with Anton Nazmiiev, head of the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. He told the students that the aim of the Center’s activity is to provide socio-psychological support in the psychological recovery and adaptation of the most vulnerable categories of students, teachers, lecturers, the population, in particular internally displaced persons, persons from the temporarily occupied territory, military personnel participating in hostilities in community, and also introduced the first-year students to the Center’s tasks and areas of activity.

Anton Nazmiiev introduced the participants of the meeting to a technique that is important for today, which allows you to distract yourself from what is happening now. This exercise is called “Safe Place”. All those present participated with interest in the exercise under his guidance, as a result of which they received unexpected emotions and feelings, which they shared with each other at the end of the exercise.

The meeting took place in a calm, comfortable atmosphere and left a pleasant impression.
