An official meeting was held at the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University with international partners within the framework of the EU Project “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of Luhansk Region on the Process of Reconciliation and Peace-Buidling”.
On December 2, 2022, an official online meeting was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages with representatives of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures (Facultatea de Limbi şi Literaturi Străine) of the State Ion Creang Pedagogical University (Universitatea Pedagogică de Stat “ION CREANGĂ” din Chișinău), which is a leading state an institution of higher education of the pedagogical direction of the Republic of Moldova, located in the city of Chisinau. The framework agreement on cooperation was signed by the two universities on November 22, 2022 with the active support of the international relations departments of the institutions.
On behalf of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the meeting was attended by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Iryna V. Myhovych, Vice Dean in charge of Educative Affairs, Liudmyla A. Ovcharova, acting head of the department of Romance and Germanic Philology Olga E. Unina. From the side of the State Ion Kryange Pedagogical University, the meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature Angela SOLCAN, Deputy Dean Veronica BOLDUMA, Head of the Department of Romance Philology Anastasia SAVA, Head of the Department of English Philology Oxana GOLUBOVSCHI, Head of the department of Germanic philology Victor CHISELIOV.
During the meeting, the main achievements and achievements of the partners were presented, as well as the prospects for further cooperation were outlined. In particular, it is noted that the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures (Facultatea de Limbi şi Literaturi Străine) was founded in 1948 and currently has a modern infrastructure with several specialized centers according to the interests of students and teachers: DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), OeAD (Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Scientific Research), ETRC (Teacher Resource Center of English), CICF (French-speaking Information and Research Center), CCI (Italian Cultural Center). Taking into account the significant experience of supporting the activities of informational, cultural and resource centers at the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University of Ukraine, as well as the prospect of opening the Center of French Language and Culture on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Languages with the support of the French Embassy in Ukraine in 2023, the parties have worked out a number of the most relevant and promising models of mutually beneficial cooperation, including, in addition to the above, student mobility, guest lectures, a double degree program for master’s degree programs, development of joint grant projects, and Ukrainian studies on certain aspects of culture and language.
