Vitalii Kurylo, Chairman of the Academic Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, gave an interview for the publication “Луганщина.ua”.

During a conversation with a reporter, Vitalii Semenovych spoke about how the admission campaign went and how Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, which was displaced 6 years ago, lives today. He also shared the highlights from the life of the university and plans for the future.

In his conversation, Vitalii Semenovych cordially talks about the geography of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, students intake for 2020-2021 and others. The scientist also expressed his vision of the implementation of the school reform and the new law “On Education”: “In general, the law is working, but there are moments that I would change today.”
Vitalii Semenovych also dwelled on the issue of the project “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of Luhansk Region on the Processes of Reconciliation and Peace-Building”. “The idea is to “reset” both students and teachers within 3 years so that they are ready for the issues of reconciliation. We have already created a core group of 100 teachers who are ready to work as our ambassadors,” the project leader said.
To the journalist’s question, “Does the chairman of the Academic Council still have a cherished dream, either personal or shared with his colleagues at LTSNU?” he replied: “We all dream of returning to Luhansk city. That would solve many of our problems!”
